As last amended by the UGSA Board at the November 18, 2021 Annual General Meeting

The Urogynaecological Society of Australasia is a not-for-profit public company limited by guarantee which was established to:

  • be, and continue as a Charity
  • The Principal Purpose for which the Company is established is to promote the prevention or control of disease in human beings, including by:
    • providing education and information to the public and pelvic floor dysfunction and urogynaecology in Australasia;
    • providing a forum for the exchange of information, ideas and advances in treatment and research to practitioners and other healthcare professionals interested in urogynaecology in Australasia;
    • encouraging and supporting original research and study in urogynaecology in Australasia;
    • providing and supporting the training and education of allied health care professionals in urogynaecolgy in Australasia; and
    • fostering an effective network of clinical care in urogynaecology throughout the hospital system and the community.
  • Solely to carry out the Principal Purpose, the Company may exercise all of the powers of an individual: and a company under the Act.
